The Beast

Eyes that glow   Like embers at night   Focused on the unknown   Staring into darkness  

You see them   In the distance   And are drawn in   Like the moon draws the tides  

They caress you   Comfort you   Transfix you   And yet, frighten you  

There is no escape   Those eye’s   Belong to the beast   That roams at night  

There is no escape   Let them take you   Envelop you   Smother you 

Give yourself to the beast   Til you can give no more   Only then   Will you not fear
